I just finished reading the thread concerning Sylvania light bulbs. Has anyone here tried the H I D conversions? I do a lot of driving at times and can spot a car with H I D's a mile away. I have never ridden in a car with them, but they seem to not only be brighter, but get the attention of others easily too (to be seen). I have priced the conversions at anywhere from 500 to 700 dollars, so this is not for the faint of heart, but neither is a Cummins! Let me know what you think or what you know first hand.

ronco do a search on HID conversions. There are several members who have done it, and there is lots of good info on the subject. I did it to my Jeep and am really happy with it.

Haven't used them in a car, but John Deere has the H. I. D. lights as an option. Run a 8420 that has them. They are GREAT! :D It's a whiter, brighter light, can see farther. Only bad thing with them, is they are really almost TOO bright for being on the business end of them.

Heard the HID conversions have been made illegal due to

installs behind lenses that are incompatable with HID.
