hid questions

My wife and i both have 07 dodges. mines the 6. 7L and hers is the hemi. we want to get hids but i keep hearing that if you get hids in dodges the lights will flicker because of the way the dodges monitor a bulb if it burns out or not. was wondering if this is true and if theres a way around it. thanks.

Well the key is to put a power resistor across the wires to emulate the load of halogen light but it's not a good idea to put the hid's in your stock housing as you blind the oncoming traffic with "scatter" from your lights.

Jeez, there's nothing worse than these cheap conversions in Dodges and maybe even worse, chevys. I would say to each his own but you end up blinding lots of other drivers.

Doing a FULL projector retrofit into the oem headlight housings is the ONLY way to ensure that you will not be blinding oncoming drivers with your HID lights.

It's even better if you do a lift on the front of the truck and fail to adjust the headlights. Apparently chevy drivers think this is rad too. Hopefully puberty will clear their minds some.

I installed hid's about a month ago and I haven't had a single person flash their high beams at me. I love them. They areincredible compared to the ridiculous OEM lights.
