I should have come here sooner. I have been a member here since almost the beginning. I have to sell my baby. Just wanted anyone interested in a very rave truck to know I put it on Ebay on 9/29 and it ends on Sat. Item #290165895807.

I am having back surgey on the 30th of this month for the third time and cannot drive the six speed any more.

Please take a look. The reserve is 24,000. 00 It's an 01 with over 52k invested. It won best in class at may madness in 01.

Please look at the ad and pass it along. Time is almost up

Thank you TDR for the years of advise and support.

I hope to buy another with an auto after recovery.

Thank you for the reply. The truck hit the reserve right after I posted here.

I had a new 92 diesel then the 01 maybe a third gen in the future.

I always wondered what became of the Hide-n-side. I remember it being in 4-Wheeler magazine after winning best new product at the SEMA show many years ago and I contacted the inventor about his production plans and availability. Real nice guy, too. Seems each of the Big Three were very interested and his ship was coming in. Much later, when I contacted him again, it sounded like they were trying to screw him.

He deserved to make millions off that. Apparently, it didn't happen that way? Figures. I would still love to have that box. Nothing like having great ideas smashed down by corporate giants because "they didn't think of it". Makes you really wonder what else has been buried and withheld from the public.

If anyone knows the full story behind what eventually transpired, I would be very interested.

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery from your surgery.

Thst sucks, hope you get back on your feet fast. That is to nice of a machine to have to get rid of. I hadn't seen those in a while and woundered how well they worked.

I think I'd be looking to mate it with an auto and keep driving it. I really like that bed! Hope all comes out well with your back.

Good luck with the back surgery, that stuff is tricky. .

Gotta love that last question on the 4th about the espar, what a blockhead.

I see you have a 0 feedback bidder very interested in your truck. If you havent enabled the second chance feature, I`d suggest you do.

Hope that operation gets ya back on your feet.

Thanks for the link Smoke

I can't add the second chance offer now that it's reached the reserve. I did put in the description I have the right to cancel any bids. The guy thats next in line hase a 189 + so if the high bidder with the (0) doesn't contact me before the end I will cancell him.

Believe me I hate to sell it. My wife get a lot of comments driving it to work especially when she puts out a nice cloud of black smoke.

I don't think I would have any faith in
<table cellpadding="1" cellspacing="4" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td align="left" nowrap="nowrap">
</td><td colspan="2"> n***o#ad
( 0 ) </td></tr></tbody></table>that guy.

Has he even tried to contact you yet? People with a '0' normally have to be pre-approved by the seller before bidding.

I talked to the guy with the (0) feed back today. He seems legit. He is eager and does understand the fund clearance requirements I have. He also has a Paypal account for the non refundable deposit.

Time is ticking fast we will see.

I have been dreaming of a truck bed like that, and didn't think anybody made them. Now I am crushed to find out that they were made but I can't buy one. Does anyone know of a competitive product that give you a tool bed with the factory look?

Wow I had no idea they were that rare... I saw one on a black Dodge a year or so ago on ebay. He didn't know what he had, just said utility bed and if I remember right it went cheap... as for the bidder ebay won't even let you bid over $15K if you don't have a valid credit card on file, so he must be some what legit... good luck w/every thing.

I've seen similar ones but they don't have just one door. They function and look more like a traditional job bed, but do have the stock "curves". You can see the locks though. Don't know who makes them either.

There was one available here in S. A. last year at a local used truck lot, problem is this place must be a money laundering front because all the trucks are listed waaaaay above NADA for no apparent reason and some sit on the lot for over a year. Looked just like yours.

Also, sorry to hear about your back, hope everything goes well. I don't know what problems you are having, but when I had mine in 93 I thought I wasn't going to be able to do hardly anything after recovery, I now do martial arts, work as a contractor, work out, play golf, all things that were supposed to be over for me. I hope you have the same luck I did. Are you seeing an Orthopedic or a Neurosurgeon?
