HID's anyone??

Has anyone doen a headlight HID upgrade?? Any tips on who, and what temp would be great.

One of the NETDP members out here did the convo with 8,000 K REFLECTED (Non sport headlamp buckets require reflected lighting due to refraction lines) and man they are absolutly sick!!

One thing about the simple bulb replacements is that they still use the same crappy Dodge reflector. The owner of Borealistruck.com is a TDR member, and I've seen his components up close--they are extremely high quality, and his work is second to none. Also, his are the only ones you'll find that are DOT approved. They may not be cheap, but you won't find any coming close to the same quality. Bob is also an excellent man to deal with, right up there with Piers and Rip Rook.

Have you got the Borealis lights? I'm about to order a set but have been meaning to find someone who's got them. If you've got 'em do you like 'em? Or do you know anyone who's using them? I did the sport headlight conversion with the bright box... although a great improvement, it's still not as good as I'd like.

I don't have them. Once my daughter was born, new stuff for my truck went on the backburner. Bob (owner of Borealistruck.com) has them on his truck, and they're very impressive. If I could afford to do it I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. Give Bob a call and talk to him about it--I'm sure he'd be more than happy to answer your questions. To give a independent opinion that has them installed, they sure as heck look rugged enough to get the job done. I like the looks, but $1500 is a little steep, but I would spend that if it was worth it. I am on my 4th or 5th set of Xenon's and at almost 100 bucks a pop, I am looking for somewthing better... .....

I'm not going to do the $1500 MooseDodgers, I want the $695 Hella Headlight conversion. The Hella lights are great on the BEEMERS and other vehicles.

This is the whole headlight problem, it's not the bulbs. There are countless vehicles using the same bulb we are and their headlights are alot better.
