high beam indicator

when i turn on my high beam lights the indicator light in the dash is very bright. is there any way to make it dimmer? right now i don't even like to use my bright lights because it is so annoying.

I use these little boots that go over the bulb. You can find them in truck stops and truck supply shops. They come in a variety of colors. They are commonly used to change the color of interior lights. They are known as Smurf or Elf condoms.

That bugs me too and I haven't bothered to try and fix it cuz its a blue led soldered into the cluster and is not replaceable. Maybe if the overlay face plate will separate a tinted piece could be put on the back side.



If the led sticks up enough maybe what Hoefler suggested would work, have you done that on a 3rd gen Hoefler?

I have not taken my dash apart that far yet. I run with my dash lights pretty low and the high beam indicator is awful bright. I will have to try it.
