2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission High Beam malfunction

I haven't looked into the problem yet as I haven't had the time yet, but I was wonder if anyone else has had this problem. When I flip my high beams on they turn off and I lose my headlights, though if I just tap the lever afterwords they will come on. I think the switch might be sticking, but if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

It's the switch that you use to pull on high and low beams I also have this problem. I've found that the more I do it the less it sticks.

A little silicon spray will keep the hi-lo stalk from sticking. I try to do this at lube time

I had the same problem with mine, and after researching here on TDR I decided to try replacing the multi-function switch. That cured the problem and I haven't had any issues since. I don't remember how much the replacement part was, but the good news is you can get it as just about any auto parts store. Good luck.

Mine did the same thing, I replaced the multifunction switch and it was fixed.

OK, Thanks. I was planning on giving it alittle squirt of WD40 or silicone, just never seem to have the time to get around to it, only seem to remember when I het the switch... .
