High EGT Poor Mileage

Still working on my 03 I got a year ago. Love the truck but not happy with the performance. Mostly pull trailers with gross weight of 22,000. While driving egt stay between 900-1200, boost is 9psi on down grade and 25 on an small grade. Mileage is 14-15. A few week ago I drove the truck a week pulling nothing No Trailer, Bed Empty. Running 65 mph flat roads boost is 6psi, 700 egt then pulling a small grade boost goes to 15psi and the egt climb to 1000. Even going down hill the boost drops to about 4psi. After a week of driving my miliage is 15, and this is NOT the overhead reading this is doing the math. To me the boost and the egts is always high. I guess my question is the turbo and the waste gate. How to check, makes no sence that the mileage is the same empty or heavy. Oh one more thing is alot of times when I am coming up to a stop and clutch it the rpm jumps up to around 1200 for a sec or two before going to idle. Thanks for all yalls input. .

The sensor just after the air filter cuase my truck to high idle?. It may be bad. Have you checked for any codes? To be honest all of your numbers are not that far off from where my truck ran when it was stock. If you really want tow performance invest in some twins. My set up is a little over kill but i can pull a7% grade weighing 25k and stay under 1300 egt.

Boost and EGT seems normal. 14-15 is very high mileage for a GCW of 22K. 15 can be failry normal depending on the terrain and driving style.

As for the rpms what are they before you put the clutch in?
