I would like to know if going to a different plate or dv's could change my egt's. I would like to get lower egt's and a little more power WITHOUT having to run the water/meth. was thinking of doing something with the AFC and a different plate. Maybe more timing?? so many people are telling me different specs from 15* to 18. 5* who is right? Need some help, Must get more power, Must get lower EGT's. my sig has my info on truck. how do I get my info to display?

With the fuel you are dumping now, I don't know how you can get more power and lower egt's. Timing might help some. Twins maybe.
 
Give it about 16* of timing. Get a bigger turbo like a ht3b on top of what you have. Remove the fuel plate. That should satisfy your dreams!
 
I had a similar setup as yours. 370s,191s, PDR HX40, 10 plate and AFC housing full forward.

The HX40 is what is killing you. Not enough air. I couldn't even pull a small 14' enclosed trailer over 55mph unless it was under 45* ambient temps without EGT issues. :rolleyes: Haven't towed at highway speeds with the new turbo yet, but so far the EGTs are good. :) Even with 15k on the trailer at low speed.

The HTT HTB2 64/14 spools only slightly slower than the HX40. Real easy to get a used to it. Should be a good match for you. If you have 3. 55 gears, the 12 housing might be better. Thinking about getting the new SS 13 housing for mine.

Thank's for the info, I am going to go see Pius from Bell turbo and look at one of his units, he swears its better than the hi-tec and industrial injection units? hard to believe but his turbo's are on the worlds fastest powerstroke (oop's did I curse in here... . my bad). Wide-open perf. uses them, plus his shop is only 15min from me.
