Just wondering if I installed a J-hook or something like it, would my egt's come down a bit due to more boost? Right now when passing w/edge on level 4 it starts to back down after a 5 or so seconds due to egt's at 1250 (that's what I set it at). My max boost is only 20 or so psi. Would 30psi or so help any? Thanks.

A little more boost will help reduce EGT's, but you want to be careful not to overboost your turbo...

I see you have a boost fooler, so go for it.

After I put the XZT+ in I was not satified with either the power or what I expected that I should have had for boost. Tried the 22 in the wate gate hose, no difference.

So, I safety wired the waste gate closed. Boost went to 26-30lbs depending on which download I used. The power is what I expected now. EGT will climb to 1200 or so and possibly above, but that is when the EGT Controller (my right foot) takes over. Pulling the TT is now fun. Driving empty there is not time enough for EGT to get too high because I am picking up the next gear.

You might try this and see what it does for you.

Do a search on here for it... basically a hook/turnbuckle that allows squeezing the wastegate arm closed mechanically since the 01-02 auto trucks have the hardline to the wastegate actuator.

I do not have a hard lined wastegate actuator. It is a rubber hose and I tried to block it with a . 22 casing. Didn't work!? I thought that maybe the waste gate was being pushed open from the pressure inside the exhuast turbine housing? That is why I safety wired the waste gate shut. Not as stealthy, but it works.
