Accidentally posted this in the 12V section:

Got up this morning and went to work and noticed that the defroster was not blowing hot air. Looked at my temp guage and I was about to hit the RED mark on the temperature scale. Good thing I only have a 5 minute commute. Any ideas? Thanks

I am assuming you checked fluid level and you have some coolant. Sounds as though your water pump isn't working. Even if the thermostat was not working your defroster/heater should as the water pump bypasses the thermostat to supply hot coolant to the heater core. If the pump ain't pumping you get no heat.

Well, after I installed the thermostat, I noticed my drive belt hanging loose. I don't know how it happened, but it came off the pulley and was hanging. It is in good shape. Has anyone else had their belt fall off? My truck has only 49K miles. Anyways, at least I got the Cummins 180 deg thermostat:)
