visit the tdiclub.com and see...

Thanks. I have been there but they are just not the same as TDR guys and the way the forums are layed out you really have to look hard to find good info. Anyway I bought the car for business so I guess I should keep it stock. :)

on the tdiclub forums, under vw tdi discussion areas -> tdi power enhansements is were to search :D...

i spend all my time there under their fuels & lubricants and the non vw group diesels...

Its almost as good as the liberty at IRP blowin smoke.

That is one of many things I didn't get to see at IRP that I REALLY wanted to see. So, I guess Dennis Perry and the folks over at TS Performance turned the wick up on that little CRD, eh?

The folks over on TDIClub.com are more interested in fuel mileage and maintaining warranties...

I'll have another TDI before long. It'll be better than the NB TDI I used to have and that one would really roast the tires. :-laf

I just got back from a business trip to Germany, and got to drive on the auto bahn. Its funny their diesel mercedes grocery getters over there , would give a lot of american lower level sports cars a run for their money. The europeans defenietly have the edge when it comes to small deisel engine technology.

Me likey German cars. *drool*

Actually, if/when Toyota/Lexus made/makes a diesel sedan... I'd be on that like a 'stoner' on a White Castle Crave Case.

I would MUCH rather have the 3. 2 liter inline engine than that complicated V-6 for reasons of durability, simplicity and torque,

those complicated V-6's set 3 world and 22 international records last april, including

"100,000 MILES AT AN AVERAGE SPEED OF 139. 699 MPH. " AND "RETURNED AN IMPRESSIVE 17 MPG"

works for me :-laf

LightmanE300 has one... we ought to get him to give us a little dissertation. :)

And, we need Timo to translate those webpages... Altavista's Babel Fish didn't do too hot on the translation...

If I could get ~40mpg with one - I'd be more inclined to look into buying one.

See, with my old TDI - I could beat the daylights out of it and it never got below 43mpg.

The very idea of a 3. 0L, 24-valve, I6 in a super-nice German made sedan that can be somewhat easily massaged to ~350hp or so is VERY appealing. I gotta learn German and research this some more... :D

Anyone want to buy my '98? Gotta keep the '94, man...

My father just purchased a black on black 2005 E320CDI yesterday. I must say that is an impressive car both to look at and to drive. Rated at 201hp/369tq, it accelerates as hard as a mildly BOMBed Cummins. Absolutely no engine noise at idle and very little at 100mph. I drove it from the dealer in Memphis to my parents house in Jackson and got 36mpg hand calculated. $53k well spent!

wow! just watched the video. damn i want one :D those cars are smoking more then my truck!!!!!

i want to see one with a locker, twins, and a stack out the hood :-laf :-laf :-laf

Anybody know where I can get stuff to trun up one of the older 86 L6 mercedes diesel engines???

As far as I know - those engines have Bosch VE-style mechanical pumps. I don't have any specific information other than that. The newer ones (... around 1994 all the way up until they went 'common rail'... ) allegedly have electronic inline pumps.

Info on these cars is kinda hard to come by unless you can decipher German.

If it is a non-turbo (NA - Naturally Aspirated), you're limited quite a bit with how much you can crank it up.

We have boxes here to put on the computer controlled ones. I think the injector guys could help out further
