Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) High idle at cold startup?

You're right... it made NO difference. Just thought I'd give it a try.



Going to contact my local Dodge dealership and see what they have to say about making this feature work.

or just find someone with a Smarty and try it out, once you load back the stock software you will have high-idle enabled... .

Well I thought i would report that for the first time my truck actually hit the 3cyl cycle this morning. And while I have run the truck on 3 cyl before with an OBD controller, an knew what it sounds like, i have to admit that when you don't do it on purpose, and don't expect it, it will startle you for a sec... lol

Was just checking the tsb's . The one for cold engine warm up is 18-019-01 FYI.

I still haven't got my high idle working on my 99... . installed smarty many times & get nothing. I let the truck sit for 3 days in 11*nights, but still got nothing. Any ideas about why? I've tried loading/unloading all settings & still got nothing. I have the latest softwares loaded.

mine used to work before i had my hrvp put on, now it was 0 and still wont come on. before the hrvp it would goto high idle but when i touched the throttle or brake it would go off but when i let it set for 30 secs it would kick the rpm back up. I wish i knew why it doesnt work now.
