Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) High Idle confrmed with Smarty

Just like it says it was 25 deg out this am started my truck Idled for a minuet or so I did not time it then the idle ramped up slowly to about 1200 that is so nice I will be able to use the remote starter again. Now to get Marco to program it to ram up when ever I let it idle for a couple of min. or so Like the IHC motors do... George

1200 isn't enough where I live. At -40 and colder 1800 is starting to get the egt (pre turbo) to 300.

I will look and see how high it actually goes 3 cyl shut down worked this morning at 10 deg. -40 thats darn cold.

Well on 3cly shut down my EGT's climb to 5-600 I think. Idle speed then is ok and prefered. But I still cringe when it needs to do that for itself, just means I didn't wamr it enough before start up.



I have a veneir hand throttle hooked up that works sweet but if I could start it and it would slowly step up the rpms to a sufficient range I'd buy the program for that feature alone. I also want the HP though.
