High idle enable

Got the high idle down yesterday. $46! Oh well, that's the price you pay for a feature that you might not use very often.

from what I understand, it can only be done on 04. 5 and newer motors.

I just went down to my dealer and asked if they could do this High Idle for me. Sure, for $89. 00!!! Moss Brothers Dodge in San Bernardino... .

wow, what a ripoff. . That is just laziness. . It does not take but 5 min, and they do not even have to do anything really. . I am sure that guy would try to get you to pay under the table so he could have beer $$ for the weekend. . Sorry to hear that. . Is that where you bought your truck from?? If not try the dealer where you bought it from, if it is not too far and see what they say. . Good luck!!

When I bought my truck, the salesman told me of the high idle option. The service guy came out and did it the day I picked up the truck.



At one of the service intervals about six months later a different dealer reflashed something because a TSB said so and I lost the option. Took it back to them the next day and they set it up for nothing.



Dealers that charge for something that takes less than 5 minutes shouldn't be dealt with, IMHO. Do it as a "goodwill" jesture and you might actually get repeat customers.

Yeay!! Mine is now high-idle enabled!!!! It's pretty cool!! Can't wait to see how it does in the morning!

I bought the cummins jumper (pricey $11. 16 for this piece of wire!) I need to know what pin on the ECM this plugs into. My local dealer says he will flash for free once I have the pin jumper enabled.
