are these first gen's supposed to go to high idle when cold? mine dosnt. idle's like it was a 90* day.

if they dont have any high idle features is there a alternative? id like to be able to idle up to speed up the warm up process!

thanks... . james

Speeding up the idle won't do much for "warming up". At idle the fuel to air ratio is si low it doesn't make heat in the enigne. The block heater with a timer will help, or just start up and go, taking it easy until the engine builds a little heat.

Try hooking 12 volt jumper wire to the ksb see if it changes or not as the wire might be broke that on it going to the sensor

The ksb is the the thing under the pump that has the lower wire hooked to it that has a wire running to the top of the intake also has a smill line hooked to it

The KSB is a timing advance controller not an idle controller. You will get heat faster with it on but you need some idle rpm to make it work better. A simple twist lock throttle cable on the bell crank (or a stick on the accelrator pedal) will allow you idle it up for warm up.
