Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) High idle

There are two things that happen at different temps. Below around 28 degrees the idle will increase to 1200 RPM. Below around 15 it shuts off 3 of the 6 cyliners and you think it is going to fall right out of the frame rails. SNOKING

It does not sound like a very happy thing to listen to.....

The first time it does the 3 cylinder part you will know. I ran to the window to see if it chucked a rod.

It heats up A LOT faster.
