Mine seems to randomly do that, sometimes when it's really cold it won't, while sometimes when it's a bit warmer it will. I can't wait until they get us the option to control that manually with a manual transmission (referencing other recent thread on high idle topic)...
mine seems to be off and on also i got excited when it did i thought i had the high ilde option tried it and found out i didn't then read the forums and found out more and got sad
it is normal for all engine to up to 1000rpm idle no matter which transmission is behind the cummins. when it is colder outside, it will start up in 1000rpm idling...
Just seen a posting on another forum. He says plug B on Ecm pin #22 is PTO switch. By hooking up a wire to that and a switch to ground, it thinks you have engaged the pto and you can control rpm with cruise control.
You may still need to get that enabled in software at the dealer.
I would be interested only if it lets me use the cruise control in motion at very low speeds, including off-road, so I don't have to keep my foot on the throttle on bumpy gravel roads.
