I have done a little digging the past couple weeks and this is what I have found out so far in terms of an "electronic" high idle solution for our 3rd gens.

This guy says one is in the works, but not ready yet.

These two places said they have one that works with the auto, but nothing for the manual transmissions yet. I am not sure what the hold up is on the one for the manual transmission trucks.

I really hope someone comes out with something soon. With all the electrocis on these trucks it shouldn't be this difficult. This should be something people like EDGE and TST should program into thier boxes while they are playing in the ECM.

Nice research Jeff!! My dealer is "suppose" to be installing one on my truck. The are now telling me it won't be out untill after the first of the year! From the couple units I have seen installed, I think it is the second link "diesel services" that they are installing. I know they had an 03 auto AND manuel with the high idle, so I'm not sure why my 04 can't be done at the moment.

The '04 uses a Cummins ECM. The '03, a DC. I imagine that's the reason for the holdup on lots of stuff like boxes and high idlers.

Guess I should have qualified my post by saying I read in the TDR magazine that the '03s use DC and '04s Cummins. Obviously I, and the TDR mag article author are mistaken.
