I had 264,800 on mine and it would have gone further but I changed out my fuel sensor in the tank and plugged the supply line. Lots of smoke! I went through three LPs on the first VP-44.
168K on mine but getting nervous. Mods have been installed since about 25K. Don't understand why some last longer than others. There's been some talk about a "bad batch" being out there.
Original VP-44 ran about 285,000 before it died. If I had installed the gauges sooner, it would have probably lasted longer. The lift pump was bad when they were installed and that probably did some damage. Wish someone would admit the problem and pay for all these pumps. Just bought another 98. 5 2500 last week. Replaced the fuel filter and the lift pump wouldn't fill the canister, never pumped any fuel. It has 109,000 with the original lift pump and VP-44. It runs great but probably won't last long.
