I haven't read a single negative comment about the new 68RFE MOPAR six speed automatic. Can it be that Dodge has really done their homework and made this one nearly perfect for the appllcation?
Has anyone put any serious miles on one towing heavy yet?
My 2006 only has 205,000 miles on it and I won't replace it before 400k so I have lots of time to read reports and listen to owner comments but I'm becoming interested in both the new Ram 3500 pickup with 68RFE and the new Ram 4500 cab and chassis with Aisin AS68RC. I have driven the pickup and a 3500 c&c and like both. I would be sold on a 4500 but the Aisin automatic uses the same dumb tow/haul and overdrive lockout button in the end of the shifter that my current Dodge uses and gears must be selected by moving the shifter handle. I like the thumb shifter on the new Ram pickup's 68RFE automatic a lot better.
