Cummins in a 69-71 Dodge PU?

40's/50's Power Wagon's

If anybody can help, it's greatly appreciated. We have a 5. 9 in a 89 suburban, the factory a/c setup won't clear the front crossmember. Has anybody been able to source a high mount bracket that puts the a/c compressor over the alt. I was told such a peice was used in some freightliner apps but can't find anything. Thanks!

In non-Dodge applications the air comp on a "B" is usually mounted over top of the fuel pump area on the front of the head. There are different brackets depending on the brand of A/C comp. Shadrach

high mount a/c bracket ???

Im assueming your burb is the same as mine

the only high mount is on a Kenworth 300 mid ranger

when you say stock A/C is it the cummins one or the GM one your tring to mount ?

it will fit if you change the the cross member the second one to a drop one and trim the first one and notch the frame then your AC will fit fine

with no issues , id send you pics of mine but , i need a compressor but it does it , my compressor was junk , if and one has a compressor to fit a 95

im intersted in it

some construction equipment, also have the high mount bracket. my kobelco excavator has the high mount bracket . as mentioned, it is located near the injection pump, off top of the head . there are three bolt holes in the head, where the bracket mounts. my excavator has the serp belt, and a stacked v belt pulley, for the compressor. having said this, i intend on fabbing a similar setup for my 98 model gmc/cummins conversion. i intend on staying with the gm a/c arrangment also. .

I built the bracket. Sanden 508 compressor. I initially tried to swing the comp on one end and use the long alternator bracket style on the other. What I found was that I could not swing it at the right angle to change the distance much. In the end the slide bracket works pretty well. I just built in into the top of the Leece 555HD alternator bracket. Cummins sells a v belt pulley.
