Need a lil help got an 01 HO that just started showing really hi oil pressure idle pressure still shows just shy of 40 which is were it has always shown. But has just started hitting upwards of 90 psi at anything above 1600 rpms looking for any ideas. thanks

Usually it's just the oil pressure sending unit that acts up. I'm on my third one in 110,000 miles!

You can verify the oil pressure with a test gauge and if it's normal, replace the sending unit.

The factory oil pressure guage is not a direct measurement - I only use it for indication pressure is there. I recently put mechanical gauges on mine, and was a little suprised to see that the factory guage unit is quite a bit off of what I thought it was, but this could also be due to the graduations - it may not be linear above the "40" mark up to the "110" mark.
