I just recently purchased a left-over 2001 Dodge Diesel brand new. My question to you is why is the High Out-Put only available with 5 or 6 speed tramissions why can't it be available on the automatic's. My experience with farm equipment has told us over the years more horsepower took the stress off drivetrain components. Is this true?

Welcome to TDR mgoetz. The HO is available only in a straight shift because the stock auto trans is on the weak side. Of course DTT can fix that for you. To answer your question more power means more stress on parts. But in tractors the more power the stronger they build them. A 2000 ford tractor working at maximum load is more likely to break than a 4000 ford doing the same job at at half power
