It's been a long time since I've done it and I'm not so sure I could anymore but there is nothing like the satisfaction of putting em all in the head at 500m after pulling out your dope book, estimating the wind speed, and getting a proper sight picture. I qualified expert everytime except once when my front sight was damaged and my Gunny told me to just compensate. That year I missed expert by a couple of points.....
I think I still have my dope book somewhere.
Dont worry brother, I "hooked" up a gunny on a range when I was a block there about a year ago when he told one of his Marines the same thing. He asked me for sight black, I sure gave it to him, and when he was done, he set his rifle against a empty bench to come and give me the sight black. As I was taking the sight black back, I noticed he was without a rifle, and his rifle was sitting against an empty bench :-laf. Well, lets just call him a safety violator and couldnt talk the range RSO and OIC about letting him stay
