Can 24 to 26 psi into the VP44 cause hard starting ? If so, please explain what's happening to cause this problem. (new VP44 1 month ago and FASS installed 8 months ago)

There are reports of high pressure/ hard start conditions on here. Most were from folks who bypassed the momentary pump cycle on start up.

The recommended psi is ~14, that said, some run it higher but not at start up. I can't remember the exact cause but I believe it had to do with the relief valve on the VP44 letting air into system. No, you can't quote me on that. . :) Try a search on H. P. start problems.

Hope this helps. Mike
