How nice would it be to have a (SHOW ALL) hyper link next to the thread/forum page numbers??



It would make it nice for us high speed users to just click that hyper link and be able to see all the replies on one page.



Any suggestions?



Of course it would suck when I get home and have to use dial up, but maybe just have it load normal and then be able to click the link???

How to toggle it back off ?

This sounded like a good idea, so I toggled it to show all replies on one page. Shortly thereafter, I wanted to view the thread "Great Smoke Stories" which has 990 replies. . . WHOA... big mistake... I am on a cable hookup and I just tested it and it is running at break neck speed (4292kb) but the wait for the 990 replies on one page was several minutes. I suspect it was TDR's server having to load 'em up, or whatever the terminology is. I tried to toggle it back off, by hitting the same button, but it doesn't appear to have done so... Steve ????...

It shouldn't be a toggle Gerry - you have to choose it on every thread you wish to see that way. When you go to another thread it'll be back to your default. Your default is set in your user control panel. The reason that smoke stories took so long is because of all of the attached pictures.

Just found where to set how many posts per page to view.

I just turned it off temporarily. I found that the max view is also the default view which is a problem for slow users. I'll try to get it fixed tonight.

Should be all fixed now. You have to choose the "show all" on each thread if you wish to see it that way. Otherwise the default will be 15 unless you have chosen a larger default in your control panel under "options".

I tried it on the "caTCHER ecm (Marco's aka MAD)" thread. It's 103 pages long. It didn't work. It was trying though.

Yep, that page would be just way too big I guess. I'll have to play around with it and see how many replies can actually be viewed and limit it to that I guess. If you click on "Show printable version" and then click on the show all posts on one page on that screen it will work. Without the graphics on the page it's small enough to work - still takes a while to load though.
