High Tech Turbo Customer Service!!!!!!!!!! WOW

Hey, just thought I would drop a nice word for High Tech Turbo in Salt Lake, UT. I have purchased from them in the past when they first came out with the HTB2 and after all the good things I got from it and heard from anyone else I decided to purchase there manifold as well as another one for my Brothers truck and also another HTB2/64 for his truck and there down pipe.



Anyway, being from Canada and working for a trucking company that services the lower 48 I asked if I could just have one of my drivers come and pick it up for me. He said sure but they close at 5pm. Anyway, Brandon the guy there I was dealing with was talking to my driver and relized that he wouldn't make it in before 5pm so he took the shippment home with him that night and then drove out and met that at the truck stop!!!!!!!!



Talk about something nice to do and I doubt you would get service like that from too many other places.



Just thought I would pass on the good customer service!

DITO on the Twins... ... Brandon told me that they still don't have a kit going together but alot of guys are using there HTB2's for twins. There is on guy on there site that has an HTB2/HTB3 combo and I just saw that PowerbyPool is using them for his twins also now.

Did your downpipe fit? The one they sent to my son didn't. That was last night.

I'll let you know more about service when this is resolved. He is supposed to be calling them today.

same with me RyanB, im in the Persian Gulf on a ship, I did most of my questions over the internet, I dealt with Brandon too, I probably bugged the @#$% outta him but he answered every question and was very polite. bought a HTB2/12cm,their 3 piece exhaust manifold and a down pipe. I cant wait until its time for twins Oo. everything was taken care of in such a smooth manner I WILL BE CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!!!!!! Keep up the professionalism High Tech Turbo!!!!!!!! ..... Jeremy

p. s. Brandon if you get this im probably going to send back the turbo and get the 14cm on it. I haven't even got back to the states to try it out but my buddys back there are saying a 12cm might be a little small, ill call you when the time comes...

My HX40 downpipe that I was sent with my HTB2 was much shorter than I expected, and the "flared" end was not flared enough to accept a straight piece of 4" pipe and it was flared too much to slide into flexpipe - pretty aggravating. I had to cut the end off and that made the downpipe even shorter.



I emailed them about it in September but apparently they haven't fixed the problem.



I really can't complain though - they're doing a good job working with me on the turbo problems that I've had. I hope to keep doing business with them.

How did or what did it not fit

Both the straight portion and the obviously the flared end was way to large for the 4 inch Rip Rook exhaust... it can not be clamped and sealed.

We didn't measure the diameter.



That was after we had to remove the shocktower to get the HTB2's wastegate cylinder to clear for installation. I called and they claimed they never heard of this issue... but after talking with another TDR member today they were fully aware of this issue... they should have sent a different version for a 4wd truck. So the whole experience was somewhat frustrating.



Esp when you look to HTT as being the "experts". Yes we all make mistakes and I suppose they will eventually make it right.

I have put 3 HTb2 series chargers on and have had several customers put them on with on complaints. These were all on 4x4's. It can be tight and you may have to hold your mouth right to get it on there, but once you get it in the right orientation it goes right on there. Good luck

put a killer b2 on a 12v and to say it was a pain would be an understatement. talked to paul about it he is going to see what he can do for people in the future. the oil drain was way off... . up till 3am grinding, cursing, heating and bending, off. there needs to be an oil drain tube that fits with the kit and directions on how to reclock the turbo if needed paul said he will look into it. despite the frustration i had with the b2 i will buy from them again they offer a great product and good customer service. he said they have a new sp66 coming out... hmmm wonder what the changes are?

Their down tube is my one and only complaint. Horrible welds! We're talking holes in the welds. It looked like it got welded by a first time welding student in 8th grade. The fit was off quite a bit too. The bend didn't flating (spelling) out enough. It turned down from the turbo went down, bent back but still aimed at the ground. I left it like that and drove to a muffler shop to have them heat it a bit and bend it in to shape. Then had them connect my existing exhaust and the down tube. Never did call HTT about it. But the down tube did make that part of the install easier. They need to look into having the down tube mandrel bent instead of a few pieces welded together. Also, the install wasn't that tight on my 4x4. It's snug in there but not to point I was swearing. I have a really short fuse, but didn' get frustrated at all. Overall install wasn't hard at all. I didn't have to remove the shock tower either. . 02¢

One of the first downpipes I bought looked pretty shabby and welded, but the last one I got was one piece, and looked alot nicer. I think the new sp66 has a redesigned wastegated housing that is supposed to flow like 30% more. Supposed to be able to fit the previous chargers.
