Just thought I would throw this out there. Bought the Pulse Exhaust Manifold from HTT. Advertisement says drilled and tapped for pyrometer. The two holes in the manifold are 1/8" NPT. I've had two different pyrometers and both were 1/4" NPT. Called HTT and their only response was "We've never had that come up before". No offers of a solution just "DUH". I took it to a machine shop and spent another $35 to have one of the holes enlarged to 1/4". Could've done it myself but after spending $425. 00 for the manifold thought it was better done by the machine shop. Guess I'll reconsider my purchase of an HTB2.

All K type thermocouplers give the same signal, i. e. an Auto Meter Pyro probe (which is 1/8"NPT) will work on an Isspro Gauge. Isspro Pyro probes are usually 1/4" NPT. Why did'nt you just buy an Auto Meter pyro probe? Or just drill and tap if you had the tap??? I can't understand why you would cry about a probe not matching up, its not like HTTurbo builds the pyro probes.

Not crying , just amazed at the lack of response to a solution from HTT. Besides I have Pricol gauges in a matched color pedestal mount. Why would I go buy an Isspro gauge. Seems to me the solution would be to provide one 1/4" and one 1/8" hole so all pyros would work. Who wants to have go go spend more money on a probe after shelling out $425 for the manifold. Seems like a lack of forethought and planning with no response.

I SAID BUY THE PROBE NOT THE WHOLE GAUGE!!!!!!! You can buy just the probe for less than $30 if you look hard enough. And like I said there is no reason you should get your panties in a bunch over a company that does'nt even build the probes. And second, they were probably thinking, why does'nt he just drill it out and tap it himself, its like 10 minutes worth of work?????

not trying to get under yalls skin due to the fact that yall sound like dropping a atomic bomb on High Tech Turbo. I on the other hand had to drill and tap the pyro also. it took me only 15 min to do so, i did however port it out also, really no big deal. everything sent to me was perfect new down pipe, the HTB2 and manifold were all on with fresh oil change in 2 hours. spending that kind of money sucks to get a product that comes in and doesnt fit perfect or even close for that matter, Hell the customer service was great. I was in Saudi Arabia underway on my ship when i made the purchase, and when you wait for parts back home for two weeks, try waiting 5 MONTHS :( , if it didnt fit just quit right when i got it oh well i could make it work. Patience and the ability to think a problem out always prevail when you whant something to work, when you want it bad enough..... Jeremy

The new turbo was great also cool egt's and a hell of a ride when it lites up!!!!

Just somthing to think about. when a person is running two pyros that are 1/8" (which 90% are) what is he supposed to do? If you had told HTT when you purchesed the manifold that you needed a 1/4" hole they probley would have done it for you. But after it is at your house what did you want them to do send a tech to drill it out.

My point is I shouldn't have to drill and tap it or buy a new probe. For that kind of money it should work. I could drill and tap it but I just didn't want to mess with it. The reason we have to do so many things extra on the parts we buy for these trucks is no one ever questions the people we buy this stuff from about it. We just say OH well and take care of it. I've bought parts for my 70 Hemi Roadrunner for years and they always work with no mods. Diesel trucks should be no different.

If I'd have known there were 1/8" pyros I would have asked for a 1/4". They could have offered to send it back to them and fix it. I'm not trying to trash HTT here but it would be nice if someone did a little forward thinking and either asked the question or put it on the website "drilled and tapped for 1/8".

Hey Tcolesanti, I could tell you to do the same but Legos would obviously be way over your head.

I think the point of HTT tapping the manifold in the first place is so its a conveince(spelling???) to the customer so they dont have to do it in the first place. Also, i think if you would of communitcated better with HTT about the probe size, im sure they would of drilled a 1/4 npt and tapped it as NO extra cost. Im sure HTT wants happy customers, not people being mad because they didn't know it wouldn't come with a 1/4 npt tapped hole in it. It would seem to me to be kinna duel fault thing because HTT's website doesn't say 1/8 or 1/4 holes, but it doesn't sound like you asked them what they were either. I dont think knocking HTT is the correct thing to do!!!

So what would happen if it came with 1/4" holes and you had an 1/8" pyro probe?

Let me guess you'd be cryin again because "it does'nt just fit together".

Just remember, your ignorance does not justify your bashing of HTTurbo.

It's easier to remove material than add material. How mad would you have been if it was 1/4npt and you had 1/8npt. I’ve installed a few of HTT's manifolds two of them was this weekend by far the best manifold on the market no problems with install and a fine quality piece.

It's easy to put in a 1/4 to 1/8 bushing. Again my point is I wasn't pleased with the response I got from HTT of just "DUH". And I'll say again If I'd of known there were two sizes of pyros available I'd of asked for a 1/4". As far as the convenience thing is concerned for $425 they better drill and tap it . Like I said before maybe the thing to do would be to drill a 1/4 and an 1/8 and then send a bushing with it if you want 2-1/8" or ask the question when you order it. Overall the piece looks great. I'll know more when I put it on.

Tcolesanti, I think the fact that you wear "panties" when you work says alot about you. Do you like the frilly ones or Granny ones. With your demeanor I'd say Granny
