I installed a set of DDP Stage 2 injectors on an '03 common rail. I am noticing that the EGT's tend to be about 200 degrees warmer at 1500/1600 rpm than say around 1900/2000 rpm. The problem is more pronounced at elevation, very manageable where I live at 800 feet, gets warm at 10,000' on the trails. Going into low gear or turning off overdrive (keeping RPM's up)solves the trail problem at altitude.
Looks like fuel/air ratio is high and not enough air is moving through the motor.
There is plenty of power at 1400 rpm to do the job, just the engne doesn't like it.
Is this normal?
