Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Higher rated alternator ?

Hey guy's, anybody know were I can get the highest rated alternater that will bolt right up ? I am on the original one still going on 8 years and have added lots of additional electrical mods so its time to upgrade.

in the DFW area, we deal with a place called Altestart... they can custom wind alternators for you. my buddy was going to buy a 300amp alternator from them for his stereo competition car

An outfit out of PA called green machine or big green machine. 200 amp, direct bolt on. Couldn't tell them apart when I held them side by side. If you don't race with the alt, a 3 year unconditional warr also. 365. 00 is what it cost me. Hope this helps.

no, it wasn't... it may have been a different case. but they also offer direct swap upgrades.



they often run ads on ebay, and their ebay pricing is cheaper than their retail pricing.



another friend of mine got them to agree to ebay pricing on a direct swap alt for his mustang.



if you're not concerned about weight, you could always make a bracket and hang another factory alt on there!

Got the Altestart 205 Amp load boss HD Alternator in this morning, went great. With the 205 Amp they want you to upgrade the charging cable as well to a 4 gauge, and while I was at it I added a little "Bling" in the form of a chrome bracket as well. It was a very easy install, fits right were the stocker was no modifications required.

BBD, hope you don't mind, I clipped you and sent to that vendor saying if he gave me your deal it was a go if it will work on a 99. He went home for the weekend, won't hear back till Monday probably. But I want a guarantee for commercial use in writing. Fine print exclusions are the death of me. Maybe won't do what I want. I need a good 14. 6 volts to charge my deep cycle batteries, might be the PCM won't allow it.

I got the 165 Amp Load Boss (same company?) last winter and I love it! The 200 Amp I really didn't need. I broke off one of the field studs (9mm nut driver, light torque) and Bobby sent me a new one. Well I bought another one so I could run it, and Bobby reimbursed me for the first one.



He puts the 165 Amp on sale somethimes for 134. 99



Shoot him an offer?
