Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) higher than normal EGTS

Up until about a week ago I was never able to set off my high egt flasher on my SPA egt. I have it set at 1150deg. The other day getting on the freeway infront of traffic it started to flash and I was at 1168. Boost was 20psi. Thought that it was a fluke or the fact that it was pretty warm out and i was on a inclined enterance ramp. But today for ****s and grins I put in a hard run from a light on the way to work and again i was able to get over 1150. All of this was completely un-loaded and the only mod I have is a Scotty II, with the hole drilled, so this should help my cause. These are only only two times since I got the truck and gauages in 7/01.



Any idea's, Nothing new on truck in he last 2months other than changing from Amsoil Dual to single by pass and addition of a screen behind grill to keep debris from radiators ( this was added btwn the first occurance and second).



I really never hot rod my truck so this may be "normal?" and have not seen it yet.
