their initial wiring instructions say otherwise and i did it their way initially but didnt like it. mine balances well now with the boost and fuel pressure guage lights. all gauge lights go up and down together.

Either way I hooked both of those up and think it is TOO bright as compared to the other gauges and seems to wash out at night. I was actually thinking of disconnecting one of the light sources to see if there was an improvement. Any thoughts from those that have played around with the lighting on these gauges?
