Yahoo Photo's account

Here's a link to my yahoo account. There are a couple of quick pictures I snapped of the last block, along with some pics of the new truck in progress.

Alot of the problems are due to high cylinder pressures, but what is really puting the icing on the cake is the torsional distortion from twisting the block and crank. Still though, it's amazing how over enginered the bottom end of these engines really are. We are turning up the wick a good bit this year so we will see just how strong the good rods are. I have allready been in contact with Indy Cylinder Head but cant see dropping coin on something that will be illegal. I stay broke enough as it is anyway. I wish I had Jim's money :p :-laf

You mean you want my enlisted Navy pay... ... . you don't get rich in the Military and wheat/cattle don't make squat on the farm... ..... that's why I joined. Hope to get out that way this year Chris, if I do I'll look you guys up.

BTW, nice block split... ..... I would be done for a while!

Muster at 0700??? Monday's, we muster at 0545, 0730 tues-thurs, and the killer, 0445 on Friday (for nothing better than field day). I also happen to live an hour away.

Are you recruiting out there?

Yeah, nasty split!!! Is the head filled solid to? Are there better blocks to look for than others when you get into presures/power like this? Just curious.

No, we still circulate water throgh the head. That was the equivalant of a 53 block also. It actually weighd about 40lbs less than the 56 structured/AG block we are using now, they seem to be holding up so far but onlu time will tell. We had about six runs after the new block at the end of last year, and i think Kent had about thirty or fourty runs on his last year.

That's allot of hard runs, unlike my street truck!

Chris,

The truck and motor look great!!! I love the color choice. I hope this year turns out good for you, and I look forward to HP breakthroughs!
