Competition 12V blocks differences.....what are they!

Competition HEY DHRA whats the word on the TRUCK JAM

Friend of mine made 650hp (we figured more like 550) on a highly suspect Mustang Dyno on #2 w/ a B1, Edge Comp Drag and huge custom injectors with a pusher pump. It would run a good 13. 2/13. 1 in the quarter, but would never shift out of 1st gear w/o letting off - probably a solid high 12 truck with a better trans...

630+ with original VP with around 145K on it right now. My sig has all of my mods with the exception of a Helix cam from F1 Diesel. Not a ton of power but enough to get the job done.

The thread states ETH you have/had a ETC

My truck lays down a 530 hp with 1050 lbs TQ on a stock pump with a single 42LB waste gated turbo. I have run a 12. 8 quarter mile at 105. 8 mph last season in Englishtown. NO DRUGS all throttle no bottle water or any thing. I blew the trans pump in Maple Grove PA last year mid track and still beat the other guy with a 13. 5 at 98 mph. This year with the trans rebuild I have had 13. 01 at 101. 3 mph which was good enough to beat a 06 Vet by 0. 3 seconds he ran a 12. 91 with a poor reaction time 0. 435 to my 0. 134.

You don't have a HO pump though do you?

Doesn't anyone read the question?? ETH = High output = 6 speed truck. Our pumps dont push as much fuel as you auto or 5 speed guys. :{

And to the question, I have no clue what my truck dynos. Never bothered to dyno. Always knew i didn't have a hope at being the highest, so who cares. Plenty of trucks with the same crap, so my guess is somewhere between 475 and 515.

Before switching my pump and large single, I was making only 427hp and 1092fpt with stock HO VP and 8x12 injectors and the HX35. Torque curve from the small turbo sucked, would spike to peak right away, and fall off as fast as it climbed. Smoke was down because I don't think the stock VP could push enough fuel at WOT, a new set of 8x14's HRVP44 and Silver Bullet turbo pushed me to 568hp no drugs no water, no engine work just the fire rings.

The mustang dyno I was on with 8x10 injectors stock VP and HX35 laid down 485hp and 1205fpt... ... ... ..... I no longer will ever trust a Mustang, it was not the operator error... ... ... ... . we never did we get any support from Mustang to help correct the problem. So we have a 25,000 dollar wothless dyno sitting around. I will be the first to admit that when I see dyno numbers from someone running on a Mustang it really makes me wonder, because the numbers always seem higher than a dyno jet. Just my opinion.

Since my last post on this thread I have changed turbos, exhaust, and injectors several times and have never been able to get over 467ish with #2 so I'm assuming this is the limit of my HO pump. Under WOT on 5x5 I can see the smoke cycle at times in other word clear up then thicken up again. Would like to try a TST and a Smarty to see if it would help. The water was the only way for me to break 500hp. I made about 65hp with the Stage II Snow and some 50-50 mix.

SpicyJam, do you see any differences in driving with the HRVP? Is it more touchy about settings and If you could and you are happy with it let me Know what maker it is.

Thanks Jared

Don't worry about what I have. Just stating some facts.

Can I be the first one to state that a comment like that is uncalled for and not necessary!

The thread states ETH and ETH ONLY!! If you want a thread to boast about your numbers go ahead and start a thread!

Yes so far I have been happy with the pump, driving is just like it was before, only thing is that it will be a little louder, pump that is. All the trucks act a little different using this pump, some lope, some have erratic idles. Mine personally idles smooth, but has an irratic behavior between shifts, when warm, nothing that is too bad though, and I am not sure that it is the pump itself. I have a new IAT sensor going in this weekend, because when truck is cold it runs like a top, just when it gets warm does it act up a bit. Otherwise all is good... ... ... ... ... ... pump wise I sell them it is a Industrial Injection pump. I did not tap the wire till I had about 4500 miles on it though.

Just a reminder:

If you are NOT running a stock HO pump

or

If you are NOT equipped with a 6-speed transmission

or

You are using any chemicals other than air and diesel

then... .

THIS THREAD DOESN'T APPLY TO YOU!

Lets see, I gave you info on what my truck was at for power before I changed pump and turbo. Sorry for a guy trying to help out... ... ... ... ... ... ..... later because I think this is turning into a worthless thread... ... ... ..... :(

I for one thank you for posting your before and after results. You have added something worth while to this thread.

I for one would like to see all the numbers that were posted by guys with autos or 5 speeds to come back and delete their posts.

Maybe someone should start a thread about who has the highest HP 24 v?

O wait... Search function, VERY useful!
