Anyone need to a CarFax report?

Hit the big 300k

I didn't think I would have to explain gas or diesel because general diesel topics is the name of the forum, and I didn't say what type of vehicle because I don't care what type. I am simply asking if anyone has a 3000HP DIESEL engine weighing in the 1,000 - 1,500 range

you could get that with a turbine engine. i don't think you will get one with a piston type engine though [maybe with lots of drugs... ?]

Top fuelers are running that much hp, even more. but only for a few seconds at a time. It can be done in a piston motor, though.

I recon i have seen about a 4,000 hp puller that i have run with in the past run for a season with no melt downs. just gotta know how to build it and run it right, and trust me this man dose. straight #2 and a lil water to keep it cool. well ok 2 gal of #2 and about 1-1. 5 gal of water in a 12-15 sec pass. its a good time building those monsters and the watching them kick green A$$!

If you do some fuzzy math...

Take a 6L (6BT rounded up a little) engine making 1000hp and then figure out what a 19L (K19) engine would make and you come up with 3166hp.

Matt

Well... I'd say that a 6BT wouldn't last more than a minute or so @ 1000hp (peak HP)... although they will last quite a few passes 30 or so seconds at a time.

The K19 weighs between 5200 and 5600 pounds depending on how you dress it.

The N14 weighs between 3500 and 3800 pounds depending on how you dress it.
