Like has been said, 787hp. But that is from trucks that have dynoed. Not taking anything at all away from the DD boys, they know their stuff, but MANY think Dave Mitchell is higher even though he has never dynoed at DD which has the only dyno that counts.

Guess all I can add to this thread is this,Artic Cat,I'll take your bet and say 15 posts and its history... ... ... Andy
I almost forgot about the Scheid truck. I don't know who has the highest, but I would like to see some of these trucks strapped down to a dyno just to cure my curiosity.
As a kid back in high school I learned a long time ago that there are usually 2 types of people, One that tends to talk about how good they are, and the other will show you.
All of the midwest pulling trucks (such as Scheids and Mitchells) run on #2 diesel only as per the rules... no nitrous or propane. I'm positive they run water injection, but I don't think that counts as "drugs".
Someday I would like to see the midwest pulling trucks in person. For now I only get to see the video's you all post. And I know it does not do it the justice it deserves.
There is not doubt that they make a ton of power. What impresses me is they make it over a huge RPM range. Even if they are not the highest peak number. So what. They built the truck for pullin and not to be a dyno king. I would like to see them dyno run, not to see how much peak power they make, but exactly how fat and wide that powerband really is.
Like has been said, NOTHING can compaire the the Mitchell trucks in person (Schieds included), but I have never been present on a 700+hp run on the dyno.
787 is the highest, publicly known reported dyno number. I have heard that in testing that same truck made around 803hp. However, remember those pullers back east don't dyno.
