Has Anyone Torn Something up due to High EGT?

Does anyone know of a way to keep the oil from going out the blowby to the bottle on the front? I went to moab (utah jeep safari) and on going down one of the steep hills, the oil went to the front and was pushed out the hose,... promptly lost 2+ quarts at once untill I was level again. I put a length of heater hose up and along the valve cover toward the firewall making it elevated as it went. Will this fix keep oil from going out or is the positive pressure from the blowby just going to puke some out anyway? if it does, probably not as much, huh?
sorry for the long post but tried to be breif

Eric

There are ALOT of posts on this subject. The simplest way to fix the constanly leaking blowby bottle is take it off and attatch a longer hose and run it STRAIGHT down to the front crossmember and just let the vapor drip harmlessly into the wind. No more emptying the immpossible to get to breather bottle. No more oil all over your engine. Works great.

It will help.
you need to relocate a bottle (I used a 1 gal oil jug ) and mounted it in the front bed 1/4 panel on the frame. If memory serves the oil pu is in the rear of the pan so uphill is ok but steep down hills can oil starve the engine.

JNutter,

I don't really understand where you're relocating the 1 gallon bottle. Do you run this back behind and mount behind the cab?
I don't see where you would have room to mount 1 gallon container near the engine.

Thanks,
Charles

I think EricBu12's question was about the problem he was having off-roading at a steep downhill angle, and the engine loosing 2 qts
#ad
out the blowby.

I think he's onto something by re-routing the
hose up over the valve cover- but how about the blowby pressure STILL pushing the oil out?

Anybody running severe off road out there?

Doug,
I hope it helps, it looks like it would do ok. if it does puke out from crankcase pressure, it won't be 2 quarts maybe a splatter or so. I have the hose going under the upper radiator hose and along the side of the valve cover and end up by the firewall wireing loom. I think I might extend it from there to a collection container somewhere down behind the engine in case it still pukes some. whaddya think?
