Well after upgrading to the new truck with the HO in it I have noteced a hissing noise when under boost. I have checked all clamps and they are tight, has anybody else had this problem, it is much louder than the ETC ever was. Is it the heater hose clamps or have I got a gasket gone somewhere, it sounds like its mostly on the turbo side of the motor.

700, Go back and feel around the hose going to the intercooler and see if the hose has pooched out from under the clamp. I had this problem for a long time until I installed new clamps with a jam nut.

I had a clamp that only leaked at 20 PSI and it even looked ok. I found it by pressurizing the system with 20 PSI shop air and then it was very evident.

Something else to check..... the intake manifold bolts. 18 ft/lbs. Mine were not tight. Also, the intake plenum to the grid heater. If those are not snug, they will hiss and eventually blow the gasket out. I remember reading a post last week where a fellow TDR member was missing one of the grid heater gaskets.
