Hitch Mounted Mudflap ?

I desperately need to get some rock control as my TT is taking an absolute beating from rocks. The question I have is will they work with my setup. Here's the 2 things I run that I have my doubts on as far as working with the "slip on" reciever type flaps:



- Adjustable height ball apparatus w/gusseted/braced support



and... .



- cushioned reciever setup. I think this may be the biggest ? I have as the cushion is obviously allowed by lettting the setup move fore and aft an inch or two.



Note: This is also load distribution setup that I run.

Only bad thing with hitch mount set up is that your not protecting the truck from rock chips.

I had one on the old truck, not nearly as effective as my NWCustom ones now. But for what they are and the limited use to protect our PWC's I thought that they worked okay.



BTW I had a 6" drop and a cushioned ball mount and had no problems.

I've had some big flaps on the fenders since I put the 35's on & I pulled my trailer down a gravel road & noticed they weren't doing the job so I made a set that slides into the side of the hitch out of 2x2 drill a hole @ the end of the opening & welded a tang on the insert piece,out some flaps on the end & no more trailer dents f/me.

I only put them in when I'm towing,I used 1)1/4 20 bolt on each side & they pop out quick.

I bought some from a local rv dealer. I think they are roadmaster. I threw a stick through one of them and just bought a pair of flaps from a truck stop for 12. 99 a piece and cut them to fit on the frame that came with the original kit. They keep a lot of crud from the front of my trailers.
