Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 01' leaking oil

What year? If I’m not mistaken, the HO was only available with the 6-speed, at least in the beginning of the HO.

Does anyone know how many HO engines with 6 speed transmissions where made for Rams?...

Are they rare?...

No clue on the total number, but yes, they are somewhat rare. The 6spd started in '99 but it had some issues with the small input shaft 1.250". In 2k they increased it to 1.375" and started the HO. Somewhere around this time they also changed the syncros. The big heavy duty transmission and no driving fools couldn't shift it:D I don't think it was certified for California. The SO was 235/460, HO 245/505. Also, about this time frame w/HO/6spd you could get a dealer installed exhaust brake.

Like in my sig, my '02 is the HO w/6 spd manual - but a few mods = a bit higher power... :)

... and THAT is rear wheel HP - not flywheel...
