I just returned Sunday from a 1245 mile trip hauling a 4 wheeler, 4 adults and a 12 year old with our clothes for a week. I filled up when I got home and for the trip I got 20. 3. I tried to hold it between 70-75. Sure love the HO and the big tank with the extra capacity.
I may be wrong but I don't think the ez and the injectors jurt me at all. The only time I think they hurt me is loaded especially on hard pulls. They help me to stay the speed limit instead of slowing down. Naturally the faster you go the more fuel will be used. I would put them in again. I have no regrets at all.
I can tell you that WITHOUT an EZ or VA the mileage on a truck that I know intimately dropped to 18. 5 on the interstate. Once a box was reconnected the mileage is back at 20. 5 mpg, running 75 on the interstate for the last 400 roads at 55-60. Then it got 22. 4 mpg. I don't know what effect the 275s would have on the HO but with sensible driving I doubt they would hurt mileage. The box definitely helps.
