My 2001. 5 QC recently decided to go for ride on its own with only my camper for company. They didn't make it too far when a large tree kindly stopped them. Consequently, I am looking for another truck. I have found a few that seem promising, but not sure if I'm a little confused after reading some of the ads. I was under the impression that all 24v with 6 spd manual trans were considered the HO engines. Am I wrong?

Thanks,

Bill

If I remember correctly:confused: there were a small number of late YM 2000 trucks made that had a six speed and the SO motor before the 2001 HO was born.

And that transmission had a smaller input shaft then the HO ones, I think! Chris

Clear as mud! Might be better to go with a five speed or auto this time. Quality Parts for the 5600 are getting hard to find.
