I came up with a way to show that my engine is a "HO". The work was done by Custom Auto Design (Robert Pradke) in Eastford, CT http://www.customautodesign.com. I have no affiliation with Robert or his business.

Edit: The truck now runs much stronger, I estimate the valve covers will give me 700 hp and 1500# of torque. I will certainly get over 35 mpg now. Jeannine says that I have finally gone over the edge, but thinks the design is "pretty". I had better not mention exhaust system or 19. 5" rims for a while:) .

I bought another valve cover and left it there. It all depends on Robert's schedule as to how long it takes. He does custom motorcycle work and his work has been featured on The Discovery Channel and he has a nation-wide reputation. He is a super guy. Depending on what you want, you should figure about $300. The picture does not really do it justice.

Ken,

You are right! Between The valve covers and the new short shifter, I feel like I got a new truck. Also , we ordered a loaded up 300 C last week (it's got a HEMI)... . Just like Christmas!

I wish I had thought of it, too! I got the idea from PGoble and modified it a bit. He has some nice pictures on his Readers Rigs https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?&userid=15757&albumid=16353

Dean,

Hey your valve cover turned out great, glad to see you got it done. I like the "HO" you added. FYI, if you apply a good coat of wax/polish to it before it gets too dirty, it makes it much easy to keep clean.

Peter,

Thanks, Robert had a nice coat of glaze on it when I picked it up, I wipe it down when I wash my truck. Lots of local complements, it's a shame that it is out of sight most of the time.
