Miller or Hobart (or maybe Lincoln) MIG Welder

Need help finding an Ingersoll Rand IR2115Qti 3/8" impact wrench

Who manufactures Hobart Welders? Miller? I am considering a new TIG welder and the Hobart econotig 150 seems very similar to the Miller Econotig 150 and the price difference is a couple of hundred dollars. Is anyone here using this machine or the Miller or a Lincoln. I'd like to know what you guys think. Do you think its too small for the money? Its primarily going to be used in my own shop for small fabricating and repairs. Thanks, Mike

Yes Hobart welders are Millers with a different color.

I was recently shopping for a TIG and ended up buying a Lincoln 185 TIG. Awesome welder. I'm new to welding so I'm not biased to any particular, but in discussion with a lot of Biased people, Lincoln seemed to be the better welder :-laf

I looked hard at the EconoTig but it's range is not as good as the Miller 180, or Lincoln 185. There are some extra features on the Lincoln that I like. There is a pulse control in the Lincoln, and the AC Aluminum setting has a Penetration vs. Cleaning control...

That was my original choice also and I found one site that had a great deal on them. I already own two Lincoln welders, Mig and Stick, so I value their quality. I also followed one of the links to a weld talk site and most of the guys talking on there said that they didn't use that feature. Now most of these guys were in fabrication work that is fairly heavy material, although most of them preferred the miller or the ESAB machines which were particularly favored. I'm still thinking about the Lincoln for its features but the Hobart seems like a better deal.

There's more angry people over there than here. :-laf I've worked in a few power stations with alot of welders and they will tell you what's on their mind without asking them. :D You certainly can't doubt what they're saying so it looks like blue is the way to go. Oo. They are a bit less expensive too.

Miller Welder

Does anyone have or used a 200 Maxstar DX? One distributer I called is pointing me in that direction and for the extra money I would never have to buy another welder. This looks like the welder I should have purchased in the beginning.
