Hoen Lighting Installed.

I went ahead and dropped around $80 for some lighting. Just to change things up a bit.



For headlights, I went with the Hoen xenonmatch plus 80w/100w 9007 Bulbs:

They really have the nicest looking crystal white visual that I've seen in a HID imitation halogen bulb.





For fog lights, I went with the Hoen all-weather plus standard wattage 9006 Bulbs:

These have a strong amber look to them that makes the truck really visible in bad weather.

Looks good. Did you notice a significant increase in light output using these bulbs compared to your previous bulbs? Would you buy them again?

The 80w/100w xenonmatch plus have about the same light output as the standard 60w halogens. I think they're more for cosmetic purposes to emulate HID's cheaply. The reason they're not brighter is that the filter to remove the yellow and leave the crystal white look also filters out some of the lumens. The net result is a wash in brightness but the light is ultra white. They really have a beautiful look. From a practical standpoint, it's a pointless mod.



The all-weather bulbs actually have a function. They actually make the fog lights more visible in inclement weather. Not for you to see better, but for you to be easier to see to oncoming traffic. The idea is that they'll actually see the fogs from a distance easier than the regular headlights.



I'm happy so far. I'm not sure about the all-weather bulbs. I might have rather gotten a set of the xenonmatch plus bulbs for the fogs too. I was trying to be practical... There's nothing wrong with the all-weather -- they just look pretty yellow, which is what they're supposed to look like. I'm not sold on the look for cosmetic purposes at this point.....
