A few of you asked that I stay in touch once my HOG exhaust was installed. Well... yesterday it arrived and yesterday it was installed
I purchased the stainless steel 4" system with the HOG's "Standard" muffler. I also ordered the 6" polished tip --- YES, it does look like a cannon at the back of the truck
I did not do the install myself and instead chose to have an exhaust shop do it. I watched the entire install which seemed to go smoothly overall. The installer said that the connections would have been better had HOG included more bands that were longer on one side versus the other -- no big deal though because I had them weld the connections for added piece of mind anyway.
The system installed looks sweet. I love the 6" tip sticking out the rear. How's it sound?? Deep, Growling, but not overbearing in any way shape or form. At hard acceleration, you can really hear it, but on highway it's very mellow. The wife liked the sound of it which surprised me.
As far as EGTs are concerned, I don't have gauges yet, so I will have to just assume that it helps.
