Hog exhaust !!

1st post here boys !! Ive been reading the posts for a couple weeks now and I gotta laugh at some of the comments. So I subscribed to join in.

The reason why I was reading TDR is I was having a hard time picking out a stainless system for my 03 and wanted to see if there was any input for you guys. After reading for a bit, I chose HOG and found a great deal and wanted to pass it on.



Summit is selling Hog's stainless 4" system for 499. 99 now , they just dropped the price yesterday.

sorry shoulda mentioned that I reserched the h-ll out of it , I spoke with HOG again yesterday and they confirmed that they do sell to summit and that is thier system. normally you get the choice of a 5 1/2 or 6" tip, this system does get only the 5 1/2. To reconfirm, I called Summit and spoke to thier buyer and he to said they buy direct from HOG, and this is thier system. ment to metion that in 1st post

Yup I I was shocked too, I was set up to pay the full price on tuesday 599. 99. I went online today to check my order status and saw the price drop. Needless to say I called summit. The rep said that no one was buying them so they dropped the price to get buyers. Needless to say they credited my acct. $100. 00

I bought mine directly from HOG a couple months ago and paid the exact same price with a 6" tip. Pics in gallery if interested.

Grrr, my system came in yesterday. . when I opened the box it was a hog system and looks awesome , but someone screwed up and put only a 4" tip in there. I called Summit immediatley and they are sending out the right tip asap. ( no charge of course). Rep says that he is going through existing stock to make sure they are correct. jysk

I went on Summit and found the system but couldn't get a discription. I have a 03 SO and I think it is 3. 5" from the turbo to cat and 4" cat back. Can I put a HOG exhaust on, would I have to remove the cat?

Im not sure with the cat model, summits customer serice is really good thou. For what its worth in my instructions it gives a break down on what models it fits. When it gets to models with cats its says to call. otherwise call hog and see if they can assist , sorry I couldnt help more... .

By the way just put mine on today, and holy-hanna it sounds awesome... ..... loud but awesome...

One more thing... I see alot of guys have viewed this , if you decide to get yours through Summit make sure they check that your getting the right tip, have them actually check the contents of box. Like I said before they sent me a 4", and are shipping me the correct one this week. Sounds like its a mispack from HOG.

Which muffler did you get with the system? Augmentor? Standard? or the really loud one. If you got the standard... . did you position it in the louder direction or the quieter one?

It comes with the regular one. (reversible) well i got it on the less baffle side(louder) thinkin it wasnt going to be to bad. As soon as I fired it up I began to smile... it definitely has a snap to it Oo. and its loud from outside the cab. When I took it out for a road-test I could notice a small increase inside the cab compared to stock but not too bad...

I think I'm going to keep it this way for a week or so then try reversing it and see which I like better. Hope this helps.

Yes... the HOG system is t-304, also comes with stainless hangers, clamps, nuts, bolts, etc... .

It came today!

I got my Hog exhaust today from Summit. I was hoping to get it installed this weekend, but Uncle Sam has something else in mind. I will be on the road again. Hopefully I'll get home next week, and install the exhaust then.



I sure looks nice. Although it only has a 4" tip. I'm calling Summit and have them send the 5. 5". I'm hoping that the oem exhaust will come off easy as it the truck only has 350 miles on it! I'd like to save it if possible, and sell it complete.



I really want to get my gauges installed first, but my diprocal boost gauge is on back order at Geno's. Oh well.



How does this exhaust sound? From what I've heard from others here is that I'm going to be somewhat dissapointed in that I'll be comparing it to my '01. 5 that had a 4" exhaust with a Walker muffler.
