whats the neighbors going to say when your under there shinning that new system every week????

"don't look now but the guy next door has a few loose screws"

Marv.

( i know cause i get it every time i wash mine and do the wheel wells)

Well, I actually do clean, wax, shine what ever needs to be done, under my trucks. Hey,I like to keep them clean, and yes my neighbors might think I am nuts, but I really don't care. They are the same people that take there cars in for oil changes, washings, detailing, and repairs. That doesn't bother me, I just set a kick out of doing it myself. And yes that polished stainless steel system on both my truck looks sweet, and I'll be keeping it that way. Oh, yes I clean the engines, transmissions, paint and clean there drive shafts too.

Whhooohhhhoooo, my HOG system just arrived and so far sooooo good. It is all 304 stainless, comes with stainless band clamps, stainless hangers and all stainless hardware, oooooohhhhhh, nice shiney stainless muffler and tip too. The down pipe comes off the turbo and immediately goes to 4 inch. The best part is the "6" inch tip comes in a box that is the same size as the muffler. Simply awesome. I will get some pictures of the system tonight before I install it and then some after it is installed. I'll let you know how it goes.

Tim

p. s. Not sure that I will polish it though!!!

Hog Exhaust

Andy,

I do not know the extent of the Hog Performance exhaust warranty. I would suggest you call them and ask, I looked around on there web site, but found nothing.

OK boys here are some pictures, they seem a little dark, it's because of the old camera from work. Everything went in fine in about 2 hours including taking the old system out. I re-arranged the last two hangers from what their drawings said and also broke out the torch and reshaped the last hanger so it would support the tail pipe better and put it where I wanted it. I had to take a pair of channel locks to the end of one pipe just to bend it a little to get things to fit together. All and all it looks pretty good and I am happy with it. When you get to the pics with the truck, sorry it's dirty, its been raining here alot lately and it's hunting season.

very nice TT1, i especially like the location of your tailpipe -- great job!

note that the down pipe "chokes" down where it connect to the outake of the turbo. on the banks monster ex for the '03s, it does not choke down at all and is full 4" all the way!

i considered for the hog -- went banks

pray for SoCal and the fire victims!

sweet, sweet, sweet. Thanks for posting the pics. How does it sound? Which of their mufflers did you choose?

Thanks again for posting pics!

Andy

They have 3 different mufflers and I went with the middle one. It sounds absolutely awesome but I've only driven it on a road where I can go 45-50 mph but at this point I have no complaints. I'll be on the highway in the morning so I'll check back in and let you know how it is at 2200-2300 rpm. The sound is really deep and throaty, more so than I expected. My old muffler and tail pipe had seperated so I was just running a downspout at the resonator for the last two weeks, it sounded nice outside the truck and when shifting gears but inside it was terrible. This thing sounds ten times better outside the truck and with the noise behind the wheels again it sounds great inside the truck.

Sigh. . This is going to be a hard decision. :)

That system looks great though. I like how the tailpipe tucks up there, doesn't look like a rice burner (unlike some of the pics on the Hog site).

Yes, actually I was wondering because the web site made it look like the tip was cone shaped but it's not. Now for the highway report, it has a slight drone between 2100 and 2200 but it's a small band and I think I can fix that by turning the muffler around. Also by looking at the pictures the 03-04 system doesn't have the neck down at the down pipe. Sorry guys but my system is on a 2001 so I have the neck down and back up. I come in through the main pages and check the pages since last visit and just realized last night that this was in the 3rd gen. I bet this system would sound great on a 3rd gen though.
