Hot Rod VP44 =smoke and Fuunnnn!

Cryogenic Intercooler

Mix 4. 5 qts of redline MTL, one 9oz bottle of Lube Gard Gear Oil Supplement, mix well and put into NV5600. Drive for 3 miles and feels like a new transmission.

Don't know how Redline would work alone - others have reported disappointment and the Lube Gard went in right after the 1st MTL qt.

I had the factory fill in - it came out clean after 42k miles. My shifting was good before the change but the difference after the change is noticeable. Goes into gear much faster, but the biggest difference is in downshifting. The gears spin right up and go in very smooth and clean.

NAPA carries Lube Gard, although in Las Vegas none of the stores stock it on the shelf (they have the complete line of auto transmission supplements though :( ). Had to wait a couple of hours for delivery or go to the warehouse where 15 bottles were in stock. A good addition for about the price of a quart of synth transmission oil.

I almost put the new Amsoil juice in, but I liked the Redline's higher viscosity index at temperature. No regrets after one weekend - we'll see how it holds up in the long run.

Thanks for the recipe Justin!

No prob! My initial impressions of the combo were favorable, but as the fluid wears, the LG seems to fade, and shifting performance is roughly the same as just RL.

That said, it seems more related to transmission temp than anything. Once the temps come up, the butter melts and it's smoooooooth.
