brake controller wiring question

RV Batteries

I seem to have a slow leak from my black water(it figures!) holding tank valve. It is under the belly pan and connected with a rod to reach under to it. It seems to be closing all the way, just leaking. I've looked at new valves and they seem to just connect with the four bolts that come with them. Is this right? I don't wanna keep fussing with this, so I figure to replace the valve instead of usuing a new seal and repair kit. Anyboby else been blessed with a repair like this? Thanks guys

Last I did one it was just the 4 screws, and some sort of an O ring on each side of the valve.

I was told to put some vasoline on the O-rings before installing them.

I'd bet it's just the O ring leaking... ... .

I had to do mine too... It was the o-ring that kinked and caused the leak, I've used the drain valve lubricant additive ever since

I did mine too. Just replace the whole valve, its not much more than a seal set and wont have any nicks or dings in it that may cause new seals to leak soon. The work is exactly the same one way or the other. A lot of times the slot that the blade rides in gets crud in it and it wont seat right.
